
Rwanda international coach Innocent Seninga has signed a one-year contract with AS Port of Djibouti after parting ways with Etincelles.
Seninga had renewed his contract to coach Etincelles but both parties decided to part ways with Seninga accusing the club of failing to honour their promises.
He will now coach AS Port for the coming 2025/26 season.
Seninga will now take his expertise to the Horn of Africa, where he was tasked to guide the club through their domestic campaign and leading them in the prestigious CAF Confederation Cup.
“I would like to announce that I have been appointed as the Manager/Head Coach of AS Port/Djibouti for the Season 2025/2026, and I’m ready to lead the team in the CAF Confederation Cup competitions,” Seninga said via his X account.
This marks the second time the Rwandan tactician is going to coach in Djibouti, having previously coached Gendarmerie FC during the 2024/2025 season. He, however, left the club mid-season to join Etincelles for the remainder of the season.
He will be on the touchline when AS Port participate in the CAF Confederation Cup, in the first qualifying round where they will face KMKM of Zanzibar. Should they advance, they will face winner between El Merrikh Bentiu and Azam FC.
Meanwhile, Congolese forward Tansele Mosengo Tchik is on the verge of joining Police FC in the Kenyan Premier League in a deal that will see him play for the club until the end of the 2025/26 season.
His move come a month after signing for Gorilla FC.
Mosengo, 25, travelled to Nairobi on Sunday morning with Kenya Airways to finalize the deal with club Kenyan just currently coached by Etienne Ndayiragije.
Police FC will start their CAF Champions League campaign between 19–21 September, where they will face Mogadishu City of Somalia.
Elsewhere, former APR striker Victor Mbaoma has rejoined Nigeria Premier League champions Remo Stars on a two-year deal, marking his third stint with the club after previous spells in 2016/17 and 2018/19.
Remo Stars SC will play in CAF Champions League where they will face US Zilimadjou of Cameroon in the first round.
Mbaoma could feature for the club when they take on Rivers United on Friday, August 15 in the opening match of the 2025-2026 NPFL.
